PPFD Meter - Grow Light Meter Review
PPFD Meter is a free utility and tool application available on Android. Developed by Home Studio Inc., it uses the phone's built-in ambient light sensor (ALS) or a Bluetooth sensor to collect information on each photon that hits the plant canopy. The app supports seamless integration with UNI-T UT383 BT over Bluetooth Low Energy. The PPFD Meter is the only PAR Meter you need to adjust your lights optimally.
The app provides a sleek UI that converts LUX readings from the sensor into PAR and calculates PPFD and DLI simultaneously. It also allows you to customize the animations inside the displays for your needs. You can record all your measurements and view them on a time graph later, which is convenient when you try to find out MIN/MAX values over an area.
PPFD Meter has a PAR Map feature where you can create your PAR Maps for your own grow area. When you are done taking the measurements, the app will prepare a beautiful screenshot for you. Even if you want to try the PAR Map, you can set random values. It is built for you, so you will know what it will look like after your journey.
